I wanted to share some of the things that have recently made me happy. These are just little items that I've discovered since the New Year has started that I cannot live without!
Lancome: Hypnose Drame Instant Full Body Volume Mascara
Unfortunately, I'm not blessed with long luscious eyelashes. I've always been on the hunt for the mascara that I can actually see a dramatic improvement in my volume and length. Finally, this Christmas, I had one of these waiting for me in my stocking. This mascara has been a game changer!
When the announcement was released that Bonne Bell is going to be sold, I was devastated. I know, you're probably thinking, what is she five years old?! One of my favourite go-to lip balms has always been strawberry banana. I currently have one sitting at my office desk and I can't get over them! Luckily, I went to Walmart and was able to find a couple to hoard. Forever living in the 1990's!
OPI: The Thrill of Brazil
This colour just seems so perfect for everything. I feel powerful with it on my nails for work and it also just goes with so much. In-between gel nails, I like to rotate between this colour, a french manicure and Essie's Fiji.
I'm one of those freaks who plans their life three weeks in advance. I was tired of writing all my appointments and get togethers on my print out month to month calendar so I decided to order an agenda called "Passion Planner". It's simple and not too fussy which I like. The best part about this agenda is the goal setting. It helps me keep me motivated to end the year as productive as when I started it.
Vitamix- Two Speed Blender
This is my favourite kitchen purchase, ever! It seriously makes all the difference to have a durable blender. I use this blender to make everything from morning smoothies to grinding down hard food. This is my new favourite morning smoothie recipe:
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla matcha powder (found at David's Tea)
- Handful of Ice
- 1/4 cup of Silk's vanilla almond milk
- 2 handfuls of fresh spinach
- 1 scoop of Sunwarrior vanilla protein powder
- 1 teaspoon of maca powder
- 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
Ted Baker Brooch Trim Court Shoe
I was on the hunt for pretty heels to wear to my sister's wedding this August. Last weekend, I was taking my time walking home after having my haircut on Queen street and I saw that Heel Boy was having a crazy sale. I fell in love with these elegant shoes that just so happened to be 50% and the last pair!
J Crew Monogrammed Downing Tote
I recently received my first monogrammed bag. I feel like monogrammed items are a bit past their prime but I love this piece so much. It's the ideal bag for traveling, work or being out for an entire day. What I like about it the most is that my monogrammed initials "NAT" are completely simple and elegant. There is nothing cheesy about it!
Bon Appetit Recipe Box
Just like my Dad's passion for completing our family tree, I've become in love with obtaining classic recipes from my family and friends. I always want to remember how to make certain dish that I've been eating at my grandma's house since I was a wee one. Some may call it a recipe box but I like to think of it as a treasure box full of love and memories!
My friend Christina surprised us girls during our Christmas party with these DIY marbled dishes. She customized the colour for each friend and worked her butt off to make these beauties! I now have mine resting on my bedside table to hold my bobby pins, elastics and jewelry. It would also be perfect for keys, loose change or whatever is cluttering around your house! There is nothing more special than a thoughtful gift!
True Lemon Crystallized Packets
YUM YUM YUM! This product contains individuals packets of crystallized lemon which is made from lemon juice, lemon oil and natural ingredients. I store a box at work to add to my Perrier and green tea throughout the day.
