Vanilla Bean Almond Milk

This almond milk is so creamy and delicious in my coffee and morning smoothies. I can't get enough! It lasts for about 4-5 days and takes only about 10 minutes to make! Once you've been making your own almond milk, you will not want to buy store bought ever again! 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • 3.5 cups of water
  • 2 pitted Medjool dates
  • 1 vanilla bean, split (they sell them at costco!)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Place almonds in water and soak overnight or longer
  2. Rinse and drain almonds
  3. Place all ingredients in your blender
  4. Strain almond milk over a large bowl. Use an old tshirt to create a sack (I bought this nut milk bag but an old tshirt will do!) and squeeze as much liquid as you can into the bowl 
  5. Transfer the liquid to a jar and shake before using
