Broccoli Buds

Kind of tired of those kale chips that we're so trendy in 2007? Yeah, me too. I decided to experiment with using broccoli and it turned out delicious. Enjoy this for a healthy afternoon snack! 

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of broccoli, washed and chopped 
  • 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1 cup of natural cashews (soaked 2 hours and drained)
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast (found at bulk barn)
  • 1 tablespoon of water

Directions:

  1. Place broccoli in large bowl
  2. Place remaining ingredients into your blender. Blend until smooth
  3. Pour mixture over the broccoli and mix well
  4. Lay coated broccoli in a single layer in a dehydrator or oven. Dehydrate at 105 degrees until crispy
  5. Store in a ziplock bag
