Best Summer Pizza

Minimal prep and incredibly tasty, it’s the perfect fuss-free dinner. I think it would be perfect for a summer night in your backyard with friends. Delicious when cooked with a conventional oven or BBQ. Pair it with a Sauvignon Blanc from the new world (i.e. New Zealand or California).

  • Whole wheat pizza dough
  • 2-3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 3-4 slices of thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 1 large peach, cut into thin wedges
  • 2 large tablespoons of ricotta cheese

  • 2 tablespoons of balsamic reduction
  • Small handful of fresh basil
  • Sprinkle of sea salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 2 figs, peeled and cut into small pieces

  1. Roll the dough onto a clean surface with a small amount of all-purpose flour and olive oil
  2. Once rolled out, place it on the baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. Break up the pieces of prosciutto onto the dough
  4. Drop the small balls of ricotta onto the pizza
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese onto the pizza
  6. Place the pieces of cut up peaches and fig onto the pizza
  7. Drizzle the honey and balsamic reduction
  8. Sprinkle the salt and pepper
  9. Bake at 350 F for 30 mins
  10. Once taken out of the oven, sprinkle the fresh basil onto the pizza
