Red Lobster Cheddar Almond Flour Biscuits

The only thing I remember about going to Red Lobster as a kid was their AMAZING biscuits. Forget the fish, I'm still thinking about these biscuits and I haven't been to a Red Lobster in over 15 years. I made these for Superbowl Sunday with some hearty chili and it was deeeeelish.

Ingredients for Biscuits

  • 2.5 cups almond flour
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

Ingredients for Garlic Butter Mixture

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon old bay seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  3. In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, cheese, salt and baking soda. Cut in the butter using a fork until crumbly. Add the eggs and mix to form a dough
  4. Divide the dough into 8 balls. Place each ball onto the parchment paper baking sheet
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until slightly browned
  6. While the biscuits are melting, in a small saucepan melt 2 tablespoons of butter on low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the garlic, old bay seasoning and dried parsley
  7. Once biscuits are done baking, evening brush the tops of biscuits with the garlic butter mixture
